Call for Abstracts

Abstract submission status: Closed.

The Organising Committee invites abstract submissions for presentations at the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine (ANZSNM) 44th Annual Scientific Meeting 2014. Submissions from all disciplines of Nuclear Medicine are invited for poster and oral presentations.

Oral Presentations

ANZSNM ASM welcomes submission from people from all groups in the Nuclear Medicine profession. The Committee will integrate sets of individual oral papers into thematic sessions. Length of presentations will be determined once all submissions have been reviewed.

Poster Presentations

Poster presentations must be displayed by the end of morning tea on Saturday, and the presenting author will need to be available during the Poster Walk at the advertised time. The posters will be on display throughout the meeting. The best posters may be showcased at a special session. Posters should be A0 portrait.

Key Dates

Friday 31 January 2014
Deadline for abstract submission at 5:00pm ACST (Australian Central Standard Time).

To meet publication timelines for the Internal Medicine Journal there will be no extensions.

Friday 28 February 2014
Authors will be notified by email of the result of their abstract submission.

Friday 7 March 2014
Presenter registration deadline.

How to Submit an Abstract

Prepare your abstract according to the submission guidelines below. Click the green Submit Abstract button below.

You will be requested to complete an online form and upload your formatted abstract as a MS Word. doc or docx file.

Please limit the size of your file name to the first few words of the abstract title or your name. EasyAbstracts will automatically append an ID number to your file name for identification.

General Guidelines for Submissions

Abstracts will only be accepted by submitting through the online process. The abstract content must be uploaded into the system in a Microsoft Word .doc or .docx format.

Abstracts must not exceed 300 words.

Awards

Six awards are on offer for the 2014 meeting - the Mallinckrodt Award for Nuclear Medicine Technologist; RADPHARM Case Presentation Award; GMS Poster Award; Gammasonics Award; ANSTO Award and AANMS Registrar Research Award.

You will not be able to submit the abstract unless you agree to all terms and conditions for ANZSNM 2014 ASM below.

Copyright Conditions

COPYRIGHT©2014 by the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine ANZSNM, Ltd. ANZSNM reserves all rights to accepted abstracts between the date of acceptance and the date of presentation at the 2014 ANZSNM Annual Meeting (embargo rights). Under this reservation of rights ANZSNM will manage various publications of abstracts including, but not limited to, journals, CDs, Internet publications, and PR and promotional materials for the 2014 ANZSNM Annual Scientific Meeting. Once an abstract has been presented, abstract copyrights revert to authors; however, ANZSNM holds the continuing right to use accepted abstracts (and included tables and images) in ANZSNM publications, abstract CDs, press releases and reprints.

Double Submission

The abstract, or one that is essentially the same (“duplicate”), has not been submitted more than once to the ANZSNM 2014. The submitting author understands that if duplicate abstracts are determined by the Scientific Committee, the abstract(s) will be removed from the program.

Publication

Abstracts presented at the 44th ANZSNM ASM will be publishd as a supplement to Internal Medicine Journal.
